Where mind and body meet

Metabolic Health-Informed Psychotherapy (MHIP) is a pioneering approach that brings together the fields of psychotherapy and metabolic health. This integrative framework recognises that psychological and physiological wellbeing are deeply intertwined - and that issues such as mood instability, anxiety, brain fog, low motivation and emotional dysregulation, the quality of our relationship may have roots not only in past experiences and unconscious patterns, but also in blood sugar fluctuations, poor sleep, systemic inflammation and other markers of metabolic dysfunction.
Rather than treating mental health in isolation, MHIP considers the whole person. This includes exploring how food, movement, nervous system regulation, gut health, hormone balance and lifestyle habits influence emotional resilience and psychological symptoms. It also brings psychodynamic and relational depth to common struggles around food, eating patterns, addiction to sugar, dependency on ultra-processed foods and body image.
I work systemically - considering the impact of family dynamics, early attachment and cultural shaping, while integrating body-based awareness and mind-body insight.
MHIP is the first approach of its kind, created to complement and extend the growing body of research in Metabolic Psychiatry by adding a rich, psychotherapeutic lens to how we understand and work with mental and metabolic health.
This approach is not about giving dietary advice or prescribing a specific lifestyle. It’s about helping you understand how your internal world; emotional, physiological and psychological - interacts. In doing so, it becomes possible to make meaningful, sustainable changes that support both mental and metabolic wellbeing.

As part of this new service, I will be collaborating with Dr. Ankit Chawla, an established longevity and functional medicine physician and founder of Agami Health. Dr. Ankit takes a muscle-centric, precision medicine approach to optimising cardiometabolic health - grounded in nutrition, lifestyle and functional medicine.
With a deep understanding of the link between emotional and physical wellbeing, his work focuses on empowering individuals to take charge of their health and live fully, not just functionally.
Together, we bring a holistic and personalised lens to emotional and physical health, rooted in both science and lived experience.

Clients who benefit from MHIP are often those who feel they’ve “tried everything” in traditional therapy, or who sense that something is missing in mainstream mental health care.
If you feel stuck, depleted, emotionally reactive, or out of balance in a way that talk therapy alone hasn’t shifted, MHIP offers a more comprehensive, whole-body lens through which to understand your symptoms and yourself.

Feeling curious?
Whether you’ve spent years in therapy, tried medication, or seen countless specialists - if something still feels unresolved, this integrated approach may offer what’s been missing.
“Curiosity is the beginning of change, but it’s through relationship that real transformation unfolds. I help people explore the deep interplay between mind, body, and emotion, including how metabolic health affects mood, anxiety and depression. Emerging research in metabolic psychiatry shows that what happens in the body profoundly shapes what we feel and by working at this intersection, we open the door to lasting change.”
